Samuel Sakker reprises his role as Tannhäuser following highly praised performances in Austria, where his portrayal was lauded for its emotional depth and vocal skill. Critics commended his rich timbre and dynamic range, highlighting his capacity to execute challenging arias with both power and nuance. This new production at Grand Théâtre de Genève is led by conductor Sir Mark Elder and director Michael Thalheimer.
